What Is A Surveillance System?

A Surveillance System is made up of one or many security cameras that capture and send video to a Network Video Recorder (NVR), which records the video footage and presents them on a monitor or other connected device (ipad, cellphone, etc).

Each security system is custom designed for the application whether it be a home, farm, business or commercial application and we choose from a variety of camera types and resolutions.

Components of a Surveillance System:
A security camera system is made up of three main components:

1. Security Camera
These devices come in many different styles and are chosen based on the location in which they are being installed as well as their intended use. These can range from PTZ, to bullet cameras, to turret cameras and also with varying resolution (2MP, 4MP, 5MP, 4K).

2. Network Video Recorder (NVR)
An NVR is a computer system that records and stores the video footage that is captured. NVRs also include a software program that will help the user manage, record, and display video. The NVR is plugged into your existing internet service to provide remote access to your camera feeds.

3. Monitor
This is a device that is connected to the NVR through hard wire or internet that enables the user to view footage from the security cameras. Common devices used for this include computers, tablets, or smartphones.

Smart Human Body Detection

Eliminate false alarms with Uniview’s smart human body detection! With this intelligent event activated, your camera will only trigger the alarm and/or strobe light when it detects a human body. Birds flying past the camera, shadows shifting across your scene, and dust floating near the lens won’t cause the alarm to trigger.

Strobe Light Warnings

You can choose to have the camera flash a very bright strobe light triggered by various events. The blue and red strobe light will instantly warn any intruders that they are in an area where they shouldn’t be.

Verbal Warnings

Much like the stroble light warning, you can also choose to have the camera give an audible warning to the possible intruder once an event is triggered. You can use this in conjunction with the strobe light if you wish.

Auto-Tracking

Keep an eye on potential intruders, even if they move out of your camera’s field of view. This camera will automatically pan and tilt when it detects a moving object or person, following them wherever they go.

2MP Resolution

The IPC672LR-AX4DUPKC shoots video at 2MP @ 30 FPS, or Full High Definition 1080p. This FHD resolution (1920×1080 pixels) is pretty standard across many devices. While this isn’t the highest resolution that we offer, it still definitely gets the job done. Unless your situation requires seeing super fine details, you won’t go wrong with this 2MP camera.

Motorized Varifocal Lens

The IPC672LR-AX4DUPKC has a Motorized Varifocal Lens, ranging from 2.8mm to 12mm. This means you can easily and quickly adjust the zoom to your liking directly from the camera’s interface.

The Motorized Varifocal Lens gives you more control over your image. Optically zoom in to view finer details and a tighter 32.5° shot. Or keep the camera zoomed out to enjoy the bigger picture with a 95.7° wide angle field of view.

2-Way Audio

The IPC672LR-AX4DUPKC has a built-in microphone and speaker enabling you to easily communicate with family members, pets, coworkers, or even intruders. The crisp, clear 2-way audio makes this camera perfect for access points to your home or business, baby or pet monitors, and so much more!

IP66 Weatherproof Rating

This camera has an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of 66. This means the camera is completely protected from dust and other solid particles (the first six). It can also withstand powerful streams of water jets from any direction (the second six).

Rest assured that when you install your camera outside, it will have no problem braving the toughest of storms.

164′ Night Vision IR Range

When the sun goes down or the lights go out, this camera switches on its own onboard infrared LED lights. These lights, which are invisible to the human eye, allow the camera to continue functioning and recording video 24/7, day or night. And since its IR range covers up to 164 feet, you’re not going to miss anything that happens on your camera’s feeds, even if it happens in pitch-black darkness.

Remote Access

The IPC672LR-AX4DUPKC is a part of our Uniview line of products. As such, it’s packed with features that would please a power user, yet it’s simple enough to operate for a novice. Easily view and manage your cameras and recorders anywhere in the world with the free mobile and desktop applications. For the power user, these apps give you the power to adjust advanced settings on the fly. For the novice, you can use the apps to simply view live feeds and play back recorded video. Whatever you need to accomplish, it’s all right there at your fingertips.

Plug & Play

If you’re creating a new system out of our Uniview cameras, set up is insanely easy with our Uniview line of POE NVRs. Simply plug the camera into the back of the Uniview NVR and you have instant video on the recorder’s HDMI interface. You can also view and manage the NVR through free desktop and mobile apps, such as EZView and EZStation.

5MP Fixed Mini Bullet

5MP Resolution

The IPC2125SR3-ADUPF40 captures video up to a resolution of 5MP @ 25 FPS, which is 2592×1944 pixels. To put this in perspective, FHD (Full High Definition) is 2 megapixels, or 1920×1080 pixels. Every pixel added to your camera’s picture gives you a higher image quality and more detail. So at 5MP, you’re going to get a crisper, cleaner, and more detailed image than with your average camera.

2.8mm Fixed Lens

The IPC2125SR3-ADUPF40 has a 2.8mm Fixed Lens. That means it’s fixed at one length; it can’t optically zoom in and out. The longer the focal length on a fixed lens camera, the more zoomed in it is and the more close-up detail you’ll be able to see. But the shorter the focal length, the wider the field of view and the more area your surveillance will cover.

The IPC2125SR3-ADUPF40 has a fixed length of 2.8mm, giving it a horizontal field of view of 112.7°.

Built-In Microphone

Having audio capabilities in your video surveillance system can be an important feature. The IPC2125SR3-ADUPF40 comes with a built-in microphone, allowing you to hear and record crisp, clear audio without running any additional cables to power a microphone.

IP67 Weatherproof Rating

This camera has an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of 67. This means the camera is completely protected from dust and other solid particles. It can also withstand being submerged in 3 feet of water for up to 30 minutes.
